Finally Went Fishing

After 6 years of not fishing, I finally solved that last week with a one day drift boat trip on Oregon's McKenzie River with my longtime friend and river guide.
Late October for trout can be a little tough, I managed to accidentally hook one on a dry fly as seen in my friends net.

19 inch fish as measured, caught on a Parachute Adams size 12. We didn't see anyone else fishing that day.

Gorgeous example! And on a dry fly will make your day x2.
Well done, sir.

Good stuff!

Reminds me of a briefing first Sargent gave us once...something about raising brown trout in the day room aquarium...the day room had no aquarium, just a small rest room off to one side
took a while for some guys to figure that out.
