Iraqi TV: Suleimani Killed

Over confidence has proven again its liability factor.

In addition to all his direct involvement in the ME conflict, Suleimani must have approved the Embassy attack, could he have over invested in thinking he was immune to attack in the new Shia lead Iraq? Must have felt very safe.

Is there a like button for your post Penn

The termination of Imad Fayez Mughniyeh far pales in comparison to these two jihadists. I bet quite a few Mullahs are shitting their gowns right now

Prayers inbound for all our Warriors serving.

Long overdue.

In 13 days, it’s the 13th anniversary of the Karbala raid by Qods Force.

It will be interesting to find out if Soleimani was under current Iraqi diplomatic accreditation on his way to the airport.

If so, it will be interesting to see how it shapes future Iranian actions.

Attack sovereign territory and your senior commander ultimately responsible gets liquidated, regardless of whether or not he is traveling under current diplomatic accreditation.

Cause/Effect.

I guess Trump read his first tweet and decided to act on it. Good for Trump!

Get congresses permission to strike, now that is a joke. They can't get together with any decision quickly or someone would leak the info out to the press. The mission was carried out correctly.

Good cop, bad cop. We got the bad decisive cop as Trump working for us.

With how badly Washington leaks today the Iranians would have known about the strike before the Congressional delegation left the White House.

One additional comment on McChrystal's FP article, as Mcchrystal summarizes his observations, he states subtlety that Suleimani was clearly targeted, but action was not taken on the opportunity to eliminate him. Implying that permission was denied by Obama. This may have led to the eventual undermining of McChrystal's position.

Running with that thought, connecting dots. (questionable) Tin Foil dots recap: 20% of our yellow cake is sold to Russia, the combatant command is dismantled, $1.4 Bn is sent to Iran, Benghazi lies and deception, unmasking of assets, Iran is notified by Obama administration (SoS Kerry) of a hit on the General by Isreal, and then a complete UW event impacts the 2016 election, which in no small way, encompasses the entire leadership of the Obama administration and all its agency leaders.

Tell me again who the enemy is?

Iran: “You can’t do anything...”

Trump: “Maybe, maybe not...but...your long-time terrorist, murderer General WILL miss his flight.”

Not with this kind of U.S. Force!!! Great Job Guys!

https://www-washingtonexaminer-com.

World's most feared drone: CIA's MQ-9 Reaper killed Soleimani

President Trump ordered the strike on Soleimani’s convoy as it traveled near Baghdad International Airport. The hit also killed Abu Mahdi al Muhandis, the deputy commander of Iraq’s Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Forces and founder of Kataib Hezbollah, a terrorist group that killed a U.S. contractor last week in a rocket attack...

As silent as it is deadly, the Reaper drone was well-suited for the strike, according to retired Air Force pilot and Heritage Foundation senior fellow John Venable.

“The MQ-9’s range, loiter time, and precision strike capability make it an ideal armed ISR [intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance] platform for low threat environments,” Venable told the Washington Examiner.

"Assuming the U.S. had intel on the rough itinerary of Soleimani’s flight and/or had been following the movements of Muhandis in and around Baghdad, the Reaper’s capabilities allowed the U.S. not just to be overhead Retired Air Force Lt. Gen. David Deptula told the Washington Examiner: "The MQ-9 Reaper is the perfect weapon system for this job and highlights airpower’s ability to project accurate, timely, and lethal power," Deptula said.

"The strike was a measured and appropriate response after 18 months of restraint by the Trump administration to a series of aggressive Iranian violations of international law. He set a red line, warned Iran not to cross it, and when they did he acted appropriately to defend American personnel and interests."
